Shouts out to Ron@evilgenius.net (IT evil genius) who is hosting this site, mike@whitefire.com (code poet) who supplies the community capabilites, hens@monospace.com (humble mac & JS god) and all others whose encouragement and support will never be forgotten. I gave birth to this site 5 years ago, during the summer of 97, but these guys, who all have their own urls have helped nurture and give it life. Shouts out, kudos and dedication to you and all my other friends that have helped.

Here is where my housemate Mike, aka code poet, gets to show off his talents.

The Thai-in Cafe is the community part of the site for both Thai and non-Thai friends, where I hope one can connect with their past or future, with others, trade travel tips, thai food recipes, dharma talks and whatever else may come up. Relax, imagine, express yourself and hopefully even leave with a smile.

I am really excited about this.
My hopes are to make this into a Thai Taste Tally, where it could grow to be a database of Thai restaurants that are rated by you and me, the general public. Not critics getting paid under the table.

I am also hoping it could be a place to share recipes, especially for those that are living in areas where Thai restaurants and ingredients are hard to find. (Yes, I remember being an exchange student to Sweden, totally home sick, and I would have given anything for a home cooked Phat Thai.)

What can we use to substitute if we don't have certain ingredients. How can we modify, to still make the meal taste authentic. I wish I had this site when I was living in Sweden.
